IW Dec 07- by Alvin Teo

Blogmaster: Alvin shares his experience as a staff in this photoblog during the most recent December IW.

What've I been up to the last weekend?

Came back to KL few days earlier before the sem starts for another Raleigh activities. Its IW (Introduction Weekend) once again. Briefly packed my bag 30 minutes before I leave the house for International Youth Centre where everyone gathers. This is my 3rd IW of the year, 2nd time as staff. Was doing logs the previous IW, and I am here with the logs team again and a faci as well.

Its great to see familiar faces as well as meeting new people.
Random pics to sum up my weekend.

Its always a jungle affair for Raleigh IW. Up close with the mother nature.

Setting up bonfire. Damp woods and twigs aint giving us a good time.

Raleigh style Xmas tree in conjunction with the festive season.

Away from civilisations but civilised lesson learnt.

I made a very late decisions to volunteer as staff this time round. Yet again, its another rewarding treat. New friends, new experiences. Looking at IW with another perspective is certainly remarkable. Able to observe how people think, see how idea grows and flows, being shared with wondrous and astounding life stories and experiences. Not to miss, being close to the nature. Sleeping with insects lullaby by the bush, gazing at zillion of stars at night and fresh sweet air.

A rewarding weekend indeed.

Last but not least,
