Earth Hour 2008

Earth Hour

On 31 March 2007, more than 2 million Sydney businesses and households turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - sending a powerful national and global message that it's possible to take action on global warming.

At 8pm on 29 March 2008, Earth Hour goes global, with cities and towns around the world taking stand on the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, and millions of people uniting to turn the tide on global warming.

Check out www.earthhour.org for more information and to watch the inspirational video of the first Earth Hour in Sydney in 2007.

Get the most people, businesses and government involved in Earth Hour and get them to turn off their lights for one hour at 8pm on March 29, 2008.

This message is brought to you by Raleigh KL in support of global cooling.

Featuring:
Special blog entries by Li Vyen where she reminisce about her fundraising experiences as well her thoughts on Expedition, what I felt should be titled: "Why you, YES YOU! must go for a Raleigh Expedition in Sabah?"

A final update on Tahan:
168 Tahan-Adventure will officially start tomorrow where 18 Raleigh-ians will be trekking deep in the jungle of Taman Negara to conquer the peak of Tahan at 2,187 metres, where it is reputably the toughest trek in Southeast Asia. After months of training with hike up Gunung Datuk, and the recent double dose of the mentally torturous Gunung Nuang, the group is all set for the back to nature 7-days trek.
