We have SAGA-ed @ July Monthy Meet

Posted by Poh-E in

While most of the Malaysian are still having their sweet sweet dream, I have been rolling out to meet with my Raleigh-ian family and hoping to see a couple of new faces in this monthly meet.

When I reached to the Cempaka LRT station, I was surprise and happy to see a mix of old and new faces in the Raleigh Crowd. Cheer and joy where sharing among each other. Updates were made between the Raleigh-ian. Warm up conversation was done with the new people. And the most surprising thing to me was I never know that parents are interested to our Raleigh activities too.

At Saga Hill Car Park, we were proud to have our newly elected Raleigh president, SHIH CHUNG (CLAP CLAP!!!) to do ICE BREAKING.

We started our hike not long after the ice breaking. It was a sunny day. It was perfect for enthusiasm like us to hike that day.

To be honest, I was having difficulty to hike at the beginning path. It is steep at the beginning. I guess that is the side effect after a long time of sitting in front of the computer in office. Luckily, after 20 minutes hike, we finally reached to the first check point. I guess everyone shared the same feeling like me when I saw most of them were gulping for fresh air. Some even looked pale. I guess I am not alone having such lifestyle after all (hahaha~~~).

It did not take us long to continue our hike. This time, everyone looked better after a quick rest at the check point. Everyone had a constant pace and breathe during the hike. And in no time, we had arrived to the Saga Hill Summit.

Awesome is the only word I can describe the spot. The summit is well maintained and equipped with some fantastic facilities which allow the neighbour to enjoy their tea time over there.

According to one of our co-organizers, these are the effort by the residents who stay nearby to Saga Hill. Because of them, we could have a nice spot to chit-chat during our break.

Along our hike to our final destination, THE WATERFALL, fauna sings and flora waves to us. It seems they were sending their warmest greeting to welcome us. Wind gently streams through trees and making the young plants dance for our appearance. Finally, after one hour of walking, we were welcomed by the WATERFALL CHOIR who sang us the song of nature upon our arrival.

I could not hide my excitement and I was the first who jumped into the pool. It was 12pm. While the temperature reached to 30oC in most places at KL, we were chilling ourselves in the pool. The water was so cold and we actually trembled from our inner body. We were all enjoying and relaxing after a tiring journey to the waterfall. It was really worth for our effort sweating all the way deep into Saga Hill.

Guess what?!!! We actually have SHABU SHABU… YES…. IS SHABU SHABU as lunch at the waterfall. I give my highest appreciation to the organizers who brought the food and the utensils into there. They are really awesome on carrying all the foods. Without them, I guess we might never have the chance to have shabu shabu at this beautiful waterfall.

Excitements were everywhere as long as you are walking with the Raleigh-ians. There are more to share than putting every moment into words and showing you how fun it is to hang out with Raleigh. I will stop here and keeping memories at Saga Hill deep in my heart. If you really want to know what happened after our lunch in Saga Hill, listen to my advice: GET OUT THERE and you will know the feeling to hang out with us!

Until then, stay tune for more on our activities to bring you more exciting memories.
