Caving is a recreational activity of exploring wild cave systems. This activity is fascinated by both extreme sport lovers and nature lovers because not only caving involves challenging physical activities such as climbing, crawling and rappelling but it also enables nature lovers to indulge in the ecosystems of cave wildlife.

Dark Cave of Batu Caves is a place of rich scientific and educational interest. It is known to be the home to world rarest spider called Trapdoor spider (Liphistius batuensis) and also other cave animals for more than 100 million years old.
